Our enthusiastic membership is in need of new leadership and is looking for a **new Captain and Vice-Captain** to propel us into our third year on the river. Read more here.

The social rowing boat club outside the boathouse

The Wolfson Social Rowing Team (WSRT) was founded in October 2016 by Junior Research Fellow Marie Kent and had its first outing on the river on 22 January 2017.

The team meets at the Wolfson Boathouse every Sunday morning at 10.45 to row from 11.00 to 13.00 (river closures excepted) and welcome rowers of all abilities and none.  We are very much a social team with members of all ages and backgrounds (undergraduates, MA/PhD students, fellows, alumni and porters) but are taught to row in exactly the same way as the College crews and aspire to be just as good!

No previous experience necessary.

Rowers with some experience may join us at any time. Just contact the WSRT Captain.

Novice rowers are required to have a lesson on the erg and in “The Tub” (a wooden rowing boat) before joining the Sunday rowers in an eight.  The date of our next “Tub Day” will be announced via a College-wide email.

We regret that we are currently unable to accommodate any novice newcomers due to a shortage of coxes.

If you would like to learn to cox we would love to hear from you!  Please contact the WSRT Captain.
