Eighth Annual Wolfson Research Event shines brighter than ever

In contrast to last year's frigid weather, the sun was beaming for the Annual WRE. With talks ranging from labour rights to artifical intelligence, poster presentations on proteins to pottery, and two brilliant keynotes speakers, it was a stimulating day for the entire Wolfson community.

Wolfson Research Event

This year's Wolfson Research Event continues to go from strength to strength. The event was better attended this year than ever before, the students' presentations and posters were all high quality, and the weather cooperated. The keynotes also were inspiring: Dr Ghina Halabi discussed how to better promote research findings and engage our audiences through the power of telling stories; and Professor Susan Robertson gave a tour-de-force lecture about the neoliberal landscape of higher education.

Congratulations to the prizewinners,

  • Jolyon Jones, 1st prize, oral presentation
  • Maria Hagan, 2nd prize, oral presentation
  • Julian Siebert, 1st prize, poster presentation
  • Andrew Watts, 2nd prize, poster presentation

Scroll down to see photos of the event. We will shortly be posting more photos, as well as video of the keynote speeches.
